Young Adult Ministry (Y.A.M.)
The Young Adult Ministry is an exciting group of young men and women aged between 21-35 with a common goal of growing spiritually, socially and in service.
In pursuit of the same, the group has embarked on various initiatives including a successful Sunday morning Bible study that starts at 10:00AM. The YAM group is especially excited and appreciative of the support the Church has rendered in organizing successful events such as our March barbecue, Youth Sunday, and New Year Celebrations.
We welcome new members who share the same vision and interests. (We also embrace anyone that might miss the age cut-off but is young at heart).
Upcoming Events
April 5, 2008 – House remodeling/Barbecue
In answering our cries for a facility to enhance our activities, the Church has gladly availed the house adjacent to the Sanctuary to YAM. Our first major project will be to remodel the same building to fit our taste and style.
The house has four rooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen but needs a little TLC (tender, love, and care). In respect to the old saying that “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” we will also have our second Barbecue on the same day. For our ladies please feel free to substitute “Jack” with “Jill” and also boy with girl. All are welcome and please bring a friend or two
April 12, 2008 – Dinner with Pastor J.J. Gitahi.
We are please to inform our members that on Sat. April 12, renowned Pastor J.J. Gitahi will be visiting and ministering to the YAM group starting at 7:00PM. For those who were fortunate to attend Pastor J.J. seminars last year, little advertising is needed. He is a bold, eloquent, informative, and also very entertaining man of God. We will serve snacks and refreshments and please try to pass the message along.
April 26, 2008 – Entertainment Night
April 27, 2008 – Y.A.M. Sunday
If you missed our New Year Celebrations, you must attend the Entertainment Night presented by YAM on the 26th of April. The Night will feature some of our Church’s youngest and brightest performers in song, dance, poem and various talents. The event will promptly commence at 7:00PM and for your own good, please come early and get a good seat.
After the exciting night, the YAM group will use the same energy in leading the 11:00AM English/Swahili service. In anticipation of a lively YAM Sunday, a lot of ideas have been floated and we encourage all to feel free in participating in our e-mail exchanges. In addition, anyone interested in a solo performance on that Sunday service is requested to contact one of our officials or co-opted members. If you are not receiving our group e-mails, please also inform any of the officials or co-opted members.
